✧Instructor Introduction✧
Before I list my qualifications, I would like you to give you the essence of what I strive to offer as a yoga instructor.
Through yoga I found a modality of expression, a way to connect the mind, body & soul, while practicing determination, meditation & coping with the "failure" inherently within the practice. That is what yoga is, a practice. There is no perfection, there is alignment, there is strength, and there is endurance, but it all comes with having the mindset that you are constantly "failing", learning, expanding & changing. I aim to create a space of trying new things, asking questions, feeling into your body and allowing your focus to be on your breath and movement; allowing yourself to turn your attention inward.
I recieved my 200-hour vinyasa & hatha teacher training in 2023 after practicing yoga on & off for the past 10 years. I continued to teach in a mountain village in Northern Thailand and contiued to teach classes in Grand Rapids, Michigan & Chicago, Illinois. I also have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, concentrating in cognitive neuroscience, as well as work experience in mental health insitituions.
My goal is to increase the amount of authenticity, gratitude, health, mindfulness & kindness in this world; one yogi at a time. I am honored to be a guide of what I know, learn as much as I can & share this beautiful practice.
